Friendsgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year. So, why not create extra occasions to enjoy it?

Enter Friendsgiving: an abundance of killer food, plenty of wine and beer, and lots of our favorite people. What’s not to like? Here’s the low down on our menu…I’ve collected most of these recipes from my friends – if anything strikes your fancy, I’d be happy to send it to you.

Appetizers
Elisha’s caprese skewers
Erica’s BBQ salami
Amy’s baked Brie with local Raspberry Pepper Jam

The Main Event
Adrienne’s Jalapeño Corn Bread
Dana’s couscous salad
Lindsay’s cranberry sauce
Mike & my turkey sausage stuffing
Greenberg Smoked Turkey
Oven roasted turkey
Laura’s green bean casserole
Erica’s yams
Galina’s slow cooker Mac & Cheese with a side of green chilies
Dani & Ben’s salad
Ali’s mashed potatoes w/ homemade gravy

Dessert
Marni & Ted’s monkey bread (recipe from America’s Test Kitchen)
Allison & Sam’s Oatmeal Pecan Pie
Erin & Dan’s Spiced Pumpkin Bread Pudding
Katie & Z’s chocolate chip banana bread

Pro tip: we bought some disposable to go containers and had everyone take their pick of the leftovers. This was Mike’s idea and it was genius.
