Fourth of July Foodie Festivities

My brother Jeff and sister-in-law Lisa from Kansas City came to visit this past weekend for the 4th of July. Their visit was fantastic in many ways – we paddle-boated and walked at Lake Calhoun, played badminton with some friends at an annual 4th of July BBQ, watched documentaries about magic camp and master sommeliers, and a subset of us even got pedicures.

But mostly, we ate.

The weekend was basically one giant, delicious food fest.

We tried some new restaurants, revisited some old favorites, and whipped up some tasty creations of our own. Below is a visual tour of the foodie highlights of each day.
